The Accidental Bride (Book 2 in the Big Sky Romance series) by Denise Hunter. I wasn’t sure what to expect from this book as I typically don’t select romance stories to read. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this novel. The author did take some dramatic license in the way she played out the story which in my opinion was a tad unrealistic (well-meaning busybody, absentminded preacher, small town clichés). Shay Brandenberger is the main character who throughout the story learns to forgive and realize her value in God’s eyes and not mans. This valuable lesson she then teaches to her twelve year old daughter.
Travis McCoy is the main male character who as a young man made some poor choices which deeply hurt Shay. He comes to regret his choices and actions and sincerely tells Shay how sorry he is and asks for forgiveness.
I enjoyed this book enough that I will be reading the first book in the series to “see where it all begins”.
